There are so many books I’ve read and not reviewed. A lot came pre-blog, but there are ongoing books I read and don’t review for all kinds of reasons. Most often it’s that I read the book, I get busy, I don’t write the review and then I can’t remember the details without re-reading the book. Some of these I plan to re-read and review, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Others I just don’t have enough to say about. Here are some of them:

Enchantment by Katherine May
Beverly Bonnefinche Is Dead by Kristen Seeley
Snapdragon by Kat Leyh

Dirty Laundry by Roxanne Emery and Richard Pink
Quietly Hostile by Samantha Irby
There are a lot more than this, but these are the ones that popped into my head. Some of these I loved but didn’t review fast enough to remember the details (Enchantment, Snapdragon, Dirty Laundry), one I’d already reviewed a similar book by the same author and didn’t really have anything new to say (Quietly Hostile), one was intense and hard for me to write about but I’d recommend it (Wake) and two were either good for what they were but didn’t require a whole review or I didn’t like enough to want to write about them (The Night Agent and Beverly Bonnefinche is Dead, respectively).
What about you guys? Do you have many books you haven’t reviewed? If so, why?

I have trouble with the memory thing sometimes. If I plan to write a review, I have to be actively reviewing it (making notes) as I’m reading, or else it very quickly falls out of my head. And the notes need to be precise. I have a habit of leaving sentences unfinished in my notebook (easily distracted), which is not very helpful for future me.
Yeah, I struggle with that. I have tried taking notes, but then I feel like that takes away from my reading experience, so there’s really no way around it other than to try to write the review quickly after finishing, and before reading anything else similar that might get muddled in my mind!
