WEDNESDAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE | BOOKS I LOVE THAT BECAME FILMS OR TV SHOWS

There are several books that have become films or TV shows that I really enjoyed both as books and as on screen. I’ve picked eight that were made into movies. There are also several that were made into TV shows that I liked as well, but in the end they weren’t quite as high on my list as these ones!

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff
The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
The Martian by Andy Weir
The  Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Some of these are older, some newer, but all of them were very enjoyable to read and watch. And even if they didn’t stick exactly to the book, they kept the spirit of it. These are ones I’d recommend both the book and film of.

What about you guys? Which books/movies did you choose this week? Where any of my picks on your list?

I agree, but there are adaptations that are brilliant just not *quite* as good as the movie in my head when I read the book, vs the ones that are just okay or actually not good at all, and this was one that was pretty well done, imo! But yeah, book is better!
