TOP TEN TUESDAY | 10 RANDOM BOOKS FROM MY SHELVES*

This week’s prompt is to pick ten random books from my shelves. I’m including my audiobook queue as well (any audiobooks will have * after the titles) as I listen to most books these days, but I’ve also come up with some random numbers for shelves and books to pick some of my physical shelves. There’s no rhyme or reason – some I’ve read, some I haven’t, some I plan to read soon, some I probably won’t. But they’re all on my shelves for whatever reason! Here are my picks:

The Enchanted Hour by Meghan Cox Gurdon*
Lost for Words by Stephanie Butland
Free Days with George by Colin Campbell
Summer by Ali Smith

The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar
The Atlas of Forgotten Places by Jenny D. Williams
Lab Girl by Hope Jahren
Ex Libris by Anne Fadiman*

Ask Me About My Uterus by Abby Norman
The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver*

Out of these I’ve read Lost for Words, Free Days with George and Ex Libris. I read part of The Enchanted Hour, and plan to get back to it, and I keep meaning to read The Lacuna because I love Kingsolver’s writing (Demon Copperhead was a favourite of mine in 2023). Let me know if you’ve read any of these, and if so what you thought!

That’s it for me this week! Another busy one, not much actual reading done, but still hoping to get back to it soon. Here’s hoping you guys have gotten more reading done – let me know if you’ve read any wonderful books lately, particularly if they were easy, cosy reads that might help me get back to reading when I don’t have much time or energy!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
