This is an interesting prompt – I’ve never really thought about this before! The topic is books with honorifics (Mr., Ms., Dr. etc.) in the title. And there are so many books to choose from! I’ve got a bit of a mix – most I haven’t read, some I have, others are on my shelves for whenever I get to them. But I find them interesting for one reason or another!

Dear Mrs. Bird by AJ Pearce
Mrs. Everything by Jennifer Weiner
Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont by Elizabeth Taylor

Mr. Kiss and Tell (Veronica Mars #2) by Rob Thomas
Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce

Miss Emily by Nuala O’Connor
That’s me for this week! This was a fun post to figure out, and I now have connections in my mind between books I never would have put side-by-side before! What about you guys? Did you choose any of the same books as me? Which is your favourite pick of the week?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.

DEAR MRS. BIRD is on my list this week, too. I enjoyed it when I read it and now I want to reread it so I can move on with the series. MISS BENSON’S BEETLE is one I want to read as well. Great list!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I didn’t know Mrs. Bird had become a series – I knew there were two books, but I thought they were more a duo! Interesting! I’ve heard good things about Miss Benson’s Beetle, so want to get to it soon too!
Mrs. Flood’s Last Resort looks interesting. Great list!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Thank you!
what a great title – The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore! I need to add that to my picture book collection. https://readingismysuperpower.org/2025/07/15/top-ten-tuesday-here-come-the-mr-mrs-book-titles
Oh, it’s just such a delightful book for readers! Worth getting, one of my favourites.
An interesting mix. I struggled this week and had to go right back to 2021 to find some books 🤣
Have a great week!

Yeah, I lost track of how far back I went! I found a bunch on my shelves, but then ended up searching my blog for different honorifics to see what I’d forgotten! (Hence why they’re sort of grouped together!)
What a great Top Ten Tuesday post! This honorifics theme is so fun, and you’ve found some brilliant titles. I love your picks!
Thank you! I’d never paid attention to honorifics in titles before, so this was fascinating to actually look around at my physical and virtual shelves and see which books had them!
From your list, I’ve read two: Dear Mrs. Bird and Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore. I’ve enjoyed the entire Emmy Lake series so far, and can’t wait for book 4.

I’ve read those… but only have vague recollections of them! Mr. Penumbra in particular has sort of faded into the background of my mind. Gotta love perimenopause! lol
It was my choice of topic this week and I’m loving all these choices! We have Miss Benson’s Beetle in common
Oh way to go! I love this prompt, it’s one I haven’t seen before. I’ve been blogging for like a decade and a half or something ridiculous, so it’s common for there to be repeats and similar prompts at this point. But this was a new one on me as far as I can remember!
I had Mr. Penumbra, too! I had to look way back to find my list this week. I found some books I didn’t remember reading. Ha!
Yeah, it was an interesting journey this week for sure!
