LINK-UP | IT’S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING?

Another busy week, but I have managed to do some reading! I also got a lot of work done in the garden. It was time to start cutting back some of the straggly plants, re-plant the front beds by the front door that were looking a bit sad and start clearing out the dying borage and calendula plants. We also had a big cleaning and tidying session inside this week, so now we are all tired but enjoying having a clean and tidy house and a slightly tidier garden! The end of the week suddenly switched back to spring weather and we’ve had low 20s weather and some rain, too! I’m not complaining – it’s been a little on the warm side for me this week. I’m looking forward to getting some more reading done next week!

Just Shelved

There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak
James by Percival Everett

I managed to get back in the reading groove a bit this week! I finished the first two books from my BookTube Prize reading for the finals, and have started the third. I can’t say anything about my reading experience with these books yet as we are on a ban from online discussion, so all I’ll say is that I’m glad I finally got to read James as it had been on my TBR for quite some time!

Currently  Reading

The Japanese Lover by Isabel Allende
Grounding by Lulah Ellender
The Running Hare by John Lewis-Stempel
See Me Rolling by Lottie Jackson

A Year in the Woods by Torbjørn Ekelund
And I Shall Have Some Peace There by Margaret Roach
My Friends by Hisham Matar

I’ve mostly been focusing on my audiobooks for the BookTube Prize this week, but I did also make some progress with the Margaret Roach, and a few pages of Grounding.

Up Next

Clear by Carys Davies
Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar
Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange

I’m not sure which of these I’ll get to next – I’m hoping to save Wandering Stars for last in case I’ve got spare time and can read There There again first, but of these it’s the only one I own while I’m waiting on the other two from my library holds. We shall see!

That’s my week! What have you guys been reading? Have you read any of these? Any recommendations for which order to read my last three TBR books?

A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).
