Still not feeling that great and have been busy this week – what spare time I had I spent trying to catch up on some of the chores that have been neglected because I’ve been busy hanging out with my kid and sleeping because my meds are making me feel icky! But I am hoping I’m over the worst of that, and just hoping the meds will clear up my lungs so I can get back to normal. I’m going to be judging the finals of the BookTube Prize for the next two months, so I’ve got some new TBR books to get started on!
Just Shelved

This was the only book I finished this week, but I enjoyed it. Not enough that I’m going to use any of my audiobook credits on the sequel, but enough that if it goes on sale or my library gets the audiobook I will get it!

Mostly this week I’ve read Grounding, And I Shall Have Some Peace There and A Year In the Woods. I’m enjoying all of them, though I will likely put all of these on the back burner while I get started on my new TBR!
Up Next

James by Percival Everett
Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar

There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak
Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange
These are the final six books for the BookTube Prize (fiction category) this year. I’m a little disappointed that Sipsworth didn’t make it, but I’m hoping that means these all must be brilliant if they beat it!
Well, that was my week! Did you guys read any good books? Any of these ones you’d recommend?
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).

I liked James a lot, but I have not read any of the others.
I do hope you are feeling better soon! I hate to be sick in the summer. It just does not seem right to be sick with so much sunshine.
I’m looking forward to reading James, but am a little apprehensive because I haven’t read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and I don’t really want to at the moment. I’m hoping it will still be enjoyable and I won’t be missing out on too much context! Thank you, I hope so too!
