Well, it has been another busy week! A good one though, as my aunt and uncle were visiting from the UK and we got to spend a couple of days with them. I haven’t seen them in years, and they’d never met my kiddo, so it was really nice to be able to connect them. READ MORE

It’s been a busy week, but mostly a good one! We’ve gotten out into the garden a bit and it’s looking slightly more tidy. We had a new tenant move into our downstairs suite, and met the two dogs who will be living there, which was lovely. I finished a few books. I got a READ MORE

Well, it’s been a better week this week! My allergies are still awful, but I’m dealing with them. We had a great weekend – it’s finally sunny here, so we all got out into the garden and worked on tidying it up, planting a few things and adding some fresh compost to the soil in READ MORE

It has been quite the week this week! I had two visits from family members, which was wonderful. I especially loved seeing my kiddo enjoy spending time with grandparents and watching how beautifully close those relationships are, despite physical distance. We also had our pond drainage fixed, so our koi and goldfish are finally back READ MORE

It’s been another busy week – spring break is in full swing, in addition to which our fish pond that we inherited when we moved stopped draining – just in time for absolutely torrential downpours that had it overflowing into the yard. It’s been a week. Not terrible, but a little full on. I spent an extra few hours driving to prepare for an unfamiliar and busy route to a field trip my kid was going on, which was super stressful as it involved bumper-to-bumper traffic as 5 lanes merged into 2…. on a bridge. Not my READ MORE

Not the best reading week this week – it was a bit of an emotional one. We had a family member in surgery (went well and all is fine) which was a bit preoccupying. We also had an earthquake on Friday not too far from us, and we felt it. There was a loud bang READ MORE

I’ve had a decent week, not as much reading, but enough that I finished a book or two. I (as usual) left my Valentine’s Day preparations for my kiddo until the last minute, so I had a couple of late nights trying to finish some crochet and sewing stuff! I finished 3 out of 4 READ MORE

It’s been a busy week, mostly because my kid has been home from school all week since it’s been snowing a lot! Another up and down week, but what other kind are there? My kid is sick again, but it’s just a cold and is getting better. I had my eyes checked this week which lost me a day of reading because the dilation always gives me achy eyes and head for a full day afterwards and READ MORE
