Prompt: WOULD YOU RATHER DROP YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK IN THE OCEAN OR SET IT ON FIRE?
Um, NO. To both of them, obviously! What a horrible question to present to book lovers! That’s like asking which of my toes I’d rather live without, only worse because I’ve got ten of them and honestly I don’t notice they’re even there all that often… I digress. But seriously, this is not a question I even want to consider. I guess if I absolutely HAD to pick, I’d go ocean as long as it’s close to shore and I can fish it back out and dry it. But even then, I’m not just a lover of reading, I’m also a lover of books. And I’ve had enough bad experiences in childhood with dropping a book in the bath or leaving them out through the night to know that once they’re wet, they never go back to how they were again. Worse, sometimes they end up mildewed, then you don’t want to touch them let alone read them. So in either case, I’d be very upset and then buying a new copy immediately. But if it was out of print or impossible to replace (like the series my kid has made for me) I’d go with anything that might mean I could salvage it, albeit somewhat the worse for wear.
Ugh, this was an incredibly stressful post, please don’t ever put me through this again.
The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly blog link-up that gives participants a different book-related question to ponder each week, and allows them to share their thoughts, find new blogs to follow and connect with new readers. The Hop was originally created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books and is now hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. To see a list of upcoming prompts go here.

I think this prompt is proof they are running out of ideas. It reminds me of those stupid “Would you rather” games teens play. There are never good options.
Happy Sunday!
My Sunday post:

Hahaha! Yeah, I struggled a bit with this one, because just WHY? Can’t I just take care of my books like a proper grown up/book lover?
