This week’s prompt: Have you ever purchased the wrong book by accident? If so, what did you do next? Did you return the book, keep it, pass it on to another reader, or donate it?
Hmmm. I don’t think I’ve ever bought the wrong book… or if I have I don’t remember it. I have, however, ordered a book with one cover that has arrived with a different, inferior one. In that case the book had been an international purchase (for that cover) and it would have cost more to return it than keep it, so I was just stuck with it. Likewise I’ve ordered books that arrived with that cheap-looking cover that’s not exactly matte, but also not quite shiny. Or a book that I didn’t realize was a mass market paperback, which I dislike because it’s hard to read them without damaging the spine.
What about you guys? Have you ever bought the wrong book? Did you keep it or return it? Did you give it to someone?
The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly blog link-up that gives participants a different book-related question to ponder each week, and allows them to share their thoughts, find new blogs to follow and connect with new readers. The Hop was originally created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books and is now hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. To see a list of upcoming prompts go here.

I’ve definitely bought a book, got home and realised I already had a copy – I’m trying to catalogue all my books now so that doesn’t happen again
That’s a great idea – I wish I’d done that when I had a smaller number of books! LOL
