BOOK BLOGGER HOP | HOW MANY POSTS DO I PUBLISH ON MY BLOG EACH WEEK?

This week’s prompt: How many weekly bookish posts do you put on your blog and/or social media?

This depends a lot on what’s happening in my  life. I’ve taken blogging breaks when I was pregnant and had a baby, I’ve also stopped doing particular features because I wasn’t able to keep up with them – the main one being reviews when I didn’t have time to read. What was I going to review when I hadn’t read any books? These days I try to do four link-ups (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) and a review each week, but I’ll skip a link-up if I don’t have content for it or I’m not interested in the prompt. The most often skipped is the weekly Monday post (called It’s Monday! What are you reading?) because it’s all about what I’ve read over the past week, what I’m currently reading and what I plan to read next. If it’s been a few weeks since I finished a book I’ll skip it because it would literally be the exact same for weeks until I’ve finished a book, and that’s just boring. I don’t really use social media much anymore, so I don’t post anything on there regularly.

What about you guys? How many posts do you regularly write each week? Do you have any other platforms you use regularly as well as or instead of blogging?

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly blog link-up that gives participants a different book-related question to ponder each week, and allows them to share their thoughts, find new blogs to follow and connect with new readers. The Hop was originally created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books and is now hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. To see a list of upcoming prompts go here.

Thanks! Yeah, I find that there’s a lot of swings and roudabouts in blogging as a proper grown up, annoyingly! But I figure as long as I come back and do what I can, that’s enough.
