It’s time for this week’s WWW Wednesdays, hosted by Should Be Reading blog (head over and check them out!).

This link up asks three questions

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Here are my WWW answers!

What did I recently finish reading?

Little White Lies - Katie Dale

I still haven’t figured out how I feel about this book. Suffice it to say that it was a suspenseful read that kept me flipping pages, but that it also caused a lot of eye rolling along the way. Full review to follow.

What am I currently reading?

Howard's End Is On the Landing - Susan Hill       The Martian - Andy Weir

The Martian. Oh man. I’m not normally much of a Sci Fi fan. In fact, I tend to find it problematic. But this book… well, it might take place on Mars, but it’s very much a character-driven plot, and stars one engaging character. If you’ve discounted this book because you don’t like the genre normally, maybe give it a second thought. As for Howard’s End Is On the Landing, it’s a wonderful little book so far – particularly for book lovers. I am finding it endearing and relatable.

What do I think I’ll be reading next?

Men Explain Things To Me - Rebecca Solnit       Maisie Dobbs - Jacqueline Winspear

I’m trying to finish four books in the next two weeks (two weeks filled with all kinds of family and seasonal responsibilities, no less) to meet my reading goal for the year. So I’ll admit it, I’m partly planning to read these because they’re short! However, I’ve also got it on good authority that they’re excellent. (I have also read the beginning of Men Explain… and whoa man. So good.)

What about you guys? Read anything good this week? Got any great books saved up for the holidays? Share in the comments!
