STACKING THE SHELVES | #30

Time to look at the books I added to my shelves this week with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews! Not necessarily books I bought – also includes books I borrowed, was given or otherwise ended up with. Weeks where I don’t buy books I’ll scramble around my shelves and find some books I haven’t shared in a StS post yet!

Four – Veronica Roth
Alias Hook – Lisa Jensen
Illusive – Emily Lloyd-Jones

The Awakening of Miss Prim – Natalia Sanmartin Fenollera
Rose Under Fire – Elizabeth Wein

Land of Love and Drowning – Tiphanie Yanique
California – Edan Lepucki

A few of these I’m really excited for (The Awakening of Miss Prim, The Sleepwalker’s Guide to Dancing, Illusive, Land of Love and Drowning) the others I’ve heard really great things about, but could go either way. And to be totally honest, Four is because I can’t not have the entire series, even though I’m not the biggest fan in the end. California I’ve heard great things about, but it could end up being on the weird and creepy side, which sometimes works for me and sometimes doesn’t. I don’t remember much about Alias Hook, and Rose Under Fire will have to wait until I finally finish Code Name Verity – but just look at that cover!

What did you guys dig out of your book stacks or pick up this week?

I binge-read Divergent and Insurgent, but I had Allegiant spoiled for me and now that I know what happens, I just haven't been able to bring myself to read it 🙁

I started CNV the other night and it's a lot more intense than I was expecting! Everyone I've heard talk/write about it has nothing but good things to say, though, so I'm looking forward to it!

I honestly forgot all about it – I had pre-ordered it and was quite surprised by its arrival! I think I remember hearing good things, so hopefully I'll enjoy it. Happy to have reminded you of it!
