My Week on Wednesday

My Week On Wednesday is a weekly link-up post in which I share with you what I’ve been reading, what I’m reading next, and any other bookish stuff I enjoyed in the past week! (Click on book images to view Goodreads page.)

Just shelved:

THE BIG BAD BOOK OF BILL MURRAY - ROBERT SCHNAKENBERG        The Shore - Sara Taylor        A God In Ruins - Kate Atkinson

I’m excited to finally shelve these books. I enjoyed reading about Bill Murray, but found myself struggling with the other two books. The Shore because it just wasn’t what I wanted to be reading (and I had a few issues with it that apparently no one else had), A God In Ruins because I found it tedious and rambling and not at all what I expected after reading Life After Life.

Currently reading:

I’ve been staring at The Girl With All the Gifts longingly for what feels like months now. And I finally get to dive in and read along with Katie from Bookish Tendencies! So stoked. I’m also now half a book behind on the #GreenGablesReadalong, so I’m looking forward to getting back to Anne’s story and enjoying a lighter read.

Up next:

Wildwood - Melloy and Ellis    https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4457297-shakespeare-wrote-for-money?ac=1    Finding Audrey - Sophie Kinsella

Looking forward to some light, fun reading this summer, I feel like these three will definitely fit the bill. I’ve heard great things about Finding Audrey (check out Karen’s review on One More Page) in particular.

In other news:

I’ve started a new course, this one is all about English grammar. So if you’re around me during the next month or so, prepare for a lot of swearing and possibly some tears. English makes absolutely no fucking sense.
