My Week on Wednesday

My Week On Wednesday is a weekly link-up post in which I share with you what I’ve been reading, what I’m reading next, and any other bookish stuff I enjoyed in the past week! (Click on book images to view Goodreads page.)

Just shelved:

On the Move - Oliver Sacks        The Children's Crusade - Ann Packer

I just finished On the Move, which was an incredibly interesting read – it’s loosely a memoir, but contains a treasure trove of medical knowledge in bite-sized pieces. The Children’s Crusade is an epic family saga centred around the Blairs. The story starts with the parents, but mainly switches between the four children, and we watch them grow up, move into their respective adult roles, and how their childhood is never far from their minds.

Currently reading:

Life After Life

I’m dying to dive into A God In Ruins – but first, I need to read this book! I’ve started it, and so far it’s well written, evokes its time period flawlessly, and has characters I want to know more about. I’ve heard really good feedback about this book, so I’ve got high hopes!

Up next:

Boo - Neil Smith        We Are All Made of Molecules

These two just arrived in the mail and I’m having a hard time deciding which to read first! They both look excellent and have come highly recommended by friends and some of my favourite bloggers. In fact, one of my favourite people, Karen from One More Page, is hosting a giveaway of We Are All Made of Molecules which is open to Canadian readers. Head on over, check out her blog, and enter to win!

Now it’s your turn – what have you been up to in the past week? Read any great books? Pick up any you can’t wait to read? Have thoughts to share on any of the books mentioned in this post? Share in the comments or link up and write your own post!

Ahh thank you for linking to my post! I may be biased here, but I think you should read Molecules next 😉 (That being said, Boo is also a solid choice, and I can't wait to talk to you about it!)
